Our mission:

Greenlight Operation fights to free the enslaved, together. We prevent sexual exploitation and human trafficking through education and awareness, collaborate for community-driven change, and serve survivors through holistic restoration. Our dream is to equip communities to transform red-light districts into Greenlight Districts—places free from sexual exploitation and human trafficking and known for liberating, collaborative, and restorative practices.

Where do you fit in?

In order to accomplish our mission, we are looking for experienced, talented, and committed individuals to support our team and expand our outreach throughout Pennsylvania. Interns work closely with their supervising coordinators and our Executive Director.

Interns will work 10-20 hours per week from home and/or in our office located at 2645 Lisburn Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011.

Marketing Internship

In order to accomplish our mission, we are looking for a talented and committed individual to creatively and strategically tell Greenlight Operation’s story. The marketing intern will work with the Marketing Coordinator to identify compelling narratives and meaningfully connect them to our target audiences across a variety of mediums.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and iterate new ideas for graphics, campaigns, and/or website designs/edits
  • Design promotional materials such as prints, website graphics, and social media graphics
  • Write for social media posts/stories, marketing materials, and/or the website
  • Offer continuous feedback and support for marketing endeavors
  • Communicate clearly and in a timely manner with the marketing team
 

Qualifications

  • Strong graphic design skills.
  • Experience with graphic design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, Canva, and InDesign.
  • Proficient in writing and editing.

  • Organized and able to work independently.

Communications Internship

In order to accomplish our mission, we are looking for a talented and committed individual to support our team in communicating with and expanding Greenlight Operation’s audience. Through a commitment to impeccable research, error-free writing, and nuanced messaging, the communications intern will promote Greenlight Operation’s anti-human trafficking narrative and reputation as the go-to resource in the region.

Responsibilities

  • Writing and editing routine blogs, social media posts, monthly email newsletters, event materials, and partner communications, both quantifying and humanizing the issue of human trafficking.
  • Updating an organization communications guide and talking points.
  • Gathering annually reported data and finding the most up-to-date research to enhance the accuracy of Greenlight Operation’s resources and inform our audiences.
  • Tracking and writing on human trafficking legislation and best practices across the public and nonprofit sector.
  • Identifying opportunities to write Letters to the Editor and opinion editorials, and offer quotes and resources to local news outlets in response to recent and relevant news.
  • Helping find and interview experts on the issue of human trafficking.
  • Developing and tracking Greenlight Operation’s communications-related metrics to find areas for improvement.

Development Internship

In order to accomplish our mission, we are looking for a talented and committed individual to support our team in fundraising. Through a commitment to impeccable research, investor outreach, and communication, the development intern will promote Greenlight Operation’s anti-human trafficking narrative with investors.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing Greenlight Operation’s investor management software.
  • Assisting in grant research.
  • Analyzing communication tactics with investors.
  • Providing real-time data analysis to drive strategic development decisions, among other responsibilities.
  • Assisting with prospective donor outreach.
  • Communicating with investors.

Qualifications

  • Professional experience, preferably in a development related field.
  • Organized and able to work independently.

Operations Internship

In order to accomplish our mission, we are looking for a talented and committed individual to support our team in daily operations. The operations intern will support all of the teams in various tasks, provide clerical support, and give recommendations for systems and management. This position will receive a broad range of experience working with the various teams.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with outreach for speaking engagements.
  • Conducting research on potential community events and opportunities.
  • Helping oversee compilation of volunteer info for events and general needs.
  • Assisting the Operations Coordinator, Volunteer Coordinator, and Executive Director with specialized projects.
  • Assisting in the planning and execution of events.
