September 18 will be a day filled with fun family activities, beautiful creations sold by local artists, and plenty of food. For every art and craft sold, a percentage of proceeds will go towards the purchase of the first restoration home in Cumberland County for sex trafficked survivors.
(This is an outdoor event, but there is a rain contingency plan in place.)
When: September 18, 12-5 pm
Where: Christian Life Assembly
2645 Lisburn Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011
The Art Festival raises awareness about human trafficking and brings us closer to making our restoration home a reality.
$431,036.65 out of $500,000
Most long-term restoration homes can only take in 5-10 women at a time. Even if 50% of the 540 survivors identified in PA in 2019 entered into a long-term housing program, there would need to be roughly 30 homes dedicated to their care.
But there are only 6 state-wide, and 1 in South Central PA. This is why we’re working to open the first long-term facility for sex trafficking victims in Cumberland County, serving survivors on a journey toward permanent restoration.
Our home will house 5-8 women for 6-12 months, and upon arrival survivors will be enrolled in Greenlight Operation’s restoration program, which will provide individualized, comprehensive care, including trauma therapy, counseling, and courses that equip each woman to live an independent and sustainable lifestyle.
Greenlight Operation is a Pennsylvania nonprofit seeking to serve sex trafficking survivors through a long-term restoration home in Cumberland County.
Additionally, Greenlight Operation provides free anti-human trafficking trainings to the public and collaborates with lawmakers and law enforcement to sustainably and systemically rid our communities of this prevalent evil.
Greenlight Operation is a newly incorporated 501(c)(3) and is in the process of filing its 1023. For now, Christian Life Assembly provides operational support to Greenlight Operation, such as our giving platform. Your donations are 100% tax-deductible and go toward Greenlight Operation’s mission.
