5 Easy Ways to Support Greenlight Operation

Human trafficking and sexual exploitation can seem like very daunting areas to combat. The truth is, when you look at the statistics, they are. For some, it can be overwhelming. Getting started can seem like slugging through a swamp. Thankfully, here at Greenlight Operation, we’d like to make supporting us easier than you may think!

  1. Attend events! Throughout the year we host a number of trainings and fundraisers. August 3, at 6PM, Greenlight Operation is being featured at the Harrisburg Senators' home game. A special ticket link will be released that will contribute $4 for every ticket sold to our Restoration Home Project. Bring the family for a great night of baseball, fun, and fireworks! Greenlight will have a booth open throughout the game. Breaking Chains will take place September 21, 3-8PM. This is the 3rd annual art and community showcase, hosted by Greenlight Operation, to raise awareness about human trafficking. This family-friendly event is full of local artists who display and sell beautiful creations to benefit Greenlight Operation’s efforts to combat human trafficking. In addition to local artists, anti-trafficking groups from across Pennsylvania come together to provide valuable resources for attendees to get involved.

  2. Book a speaker! We believe that awareness is the first step to combating human trafficking.  Inform your community about this issue by booking one of our speakers to conduct an awareness training or to speak at an event. Schedule a speaker for an assembly, club event, a staff training, church group, or community gathering. We have audience-appropriate presentations available for awareness events, class studies, staff trainings, and more.

  3. Volunteer! Many hands truly make light work. We have various opportunities on our teams based on your own interests and availability, and are always looking for volunteers, from helping with events to joining in letter campaigns.

  4. Become a partner! No amount is too small to help us on our mission! Even $5 can help cover travel expenses for trainings, or the cost of a box of tissues for our Restoration Home. You can make a one-time donation, or become a monthly partner. You will also receive a letter for your records.

  5. Pray! Our team is diligently working to connect with members of our communities, traveling for speaking engagements, creating awareness and fundraising events, and so much more. Please pray for our volunteers as we work towards this goal. Pray for those in bondage. Worldwide, there are over 40.3 million women and children enslaved in human trafficking. Pray for their safety. Pray for their rescue. Pray that they may live with hope.
